Kevin Smith is from Washington DC and has traveled the world growing up in a military family. It was in this environment, where his interest in history was developed. This passion has turned into a career researching and writing interpretive programs on African American history as a Park / Historic Site Specialist for Missouri State Parks. Kevin is a Buffalo Soldier and member of the Greater Los Angeles Area Chapter of the 9th and 10th Horse Cavalry Association and in his spare time he enjoys traveling with family!
